  • Laurelhurst Market – Another top 10 listers: butcher, and steak house offering incredible eats.  Outdoor grill station at lunch serving up Spice Rubbed & Smoked Chicken as well as two varieties of house-made sausage dogs.   • Voodoo Doughnut Too – Bright pink, iconic, cash-only serving creative donuts in a colorful quirky environment. Often on the list of Portland “must do’s”, which creates a long line – almost always.  If you’re a true donut-a-holic, try Blue Star Donuts.  But if you want to check out Voodoo because everyone says you should, we’ll then, walk there and you’ll feel better about your indulgence. Vegetarian / Vegan

Portland is a very vegan-friendly city, many restaurants will have a good vegan option on their menu! There are also many fully vegan eateries to choose from. Here are just a few that are within walking distance:​

Food Cart Pods – Portland has as many as 500 trucks and many are organized in pods.  There are a lot of places throughout Portland where food trucks gather.  Downtown, near PSU, in the SouthEast, and each is set up differently.  Some have seating &/or covered areas, some have a bar and others not.   • Pod 28: on SE 28th and Ankeny - greek, aisian, pizza and more.  The Captured Beer Bus is now located at Pod 28 on SE 28th and Ankeny with 5 other food carts. They offer a rotating selection of beers and cider along with wine. Covered seating for those rainy days.

  • Rose City Food Park: 10+ vendors, beer and covered seating.  (NE 52nd and Sandy Blvd)

  • SW 4th & Hall: Supported by Portland state Univ. featuring 25 carts, including and vegan BBQ. (SE 12th Ave. & SE Hawthorne)

DESSERTS
